Energy Transactions
ES&H attorneys have extensive experience in supporting their client’s energy transactions. Our attorneys advise clients, represent them in contract negotiations and related regulatory proceedings, and draft contracts for a variety of energy transactions including electric power purchase and sale, natural gas purchase and sale and the provision of ancillary and “must-run” services. ES&H attorneys have also negotiated and drafted other contracts related to energy facilities including complex real estate leases and sales. ES&H has also provided numerous opinions regarding applicable permits and environmental compliance in support of client financings and other transactions. ES&H attorneys participated in negotiating and drafting California’s standard offer QF contracts, the first “full requirements” power contract between a power marketer and an end user in the nation and other groundbreaking agreements.
